Yacht Charter in Dubai: How to Choose the Size, Marina and Route
From a sunset cruise for two to a wedding on a superyacht facing Burj Khalifa: which yacht size fits your occasion, what it costs per hour and the details to check before you book.
In Dubai a yacht isn't a tour, it's how you spend the day. Out of Dubai Harbour or Dubai Marina, the Palm from the water, anchored off Burj Al Arab at sunset, dinner on deck facing Atlantis. The key is to match the yacht to the occasion — not to take whatever happens to be free.
WHICH YACHT YOU NEED
50–65 ft, up to 12 guests. Sunset for two or a day with the family. A spacious aft deck, one or two cabins, captain and deckhand. Minimum 3 hours, from AED 1,100 per hour.
70–90 ft, up to 25 guests. A birthday, a group of friends, a company outing. Air-conditioned saloon, open deck for a long table, flybridge. Crew of three, room for a DJ and catering. Minimum 4 hours, from AED 2,000 per hour.
100–130 ft, up to 40 guests. A party or reception where the yacht is the venue. Several decks, a jacuzzi, a full galley for a private chef, cabins for a night at anchor. Crew of four to six. Minimum 6 hours, from AED 7,000 per hour.
Superyacht 140 ft+, up to 100 guests. A wedding, a launch, a private dinner for a hundred facing Burj Khalifa. Crew of eight or more, stewards, a chef on board, tender and water toys. Minimum 6 hours, price on request.
WHAT IS INCLUDED — AND WHAT ISN'T
Included: crew, fuel on the standard route, water and soft drinks, ice, towels and a sound system. Extras: catering and bar, décor, photographer, water toys, a children's entertainer and transfer to the berth. Weekend and holiday rates are higher; we confirm the exact price for your date.
THE DETAILS THAT DECIDE IT
Departure time. Sunset in Dubai is short: to catch it off Burj Al Arab you need to leave in good time. We work out the time from berth to anchor point.
The berth. Dubai Harbour and Dubai Marina give different routes and different sailing times. We choose the berth for the route, not the other way round.
Food on board. Catering is ordered in advance; on larger yachts a chef cooks on board.
Guest numbers. A yacht's capacity is its licence limit, not its comfort level. Size up for a relaxed day.
It always pays to pay attention to details — the way we do. They are what turns a boat trip into an evening people remember.
IN SUMMER — THE MEDITERRANEAN
When the Gulf empties, we move clients to the Mediterranean: Puerto Banús in Marbella, Porto Montenegro in Tivat and, on request, any marina from Ibiza to Bodrum. Motor and sailing yachts from 60 to 200 ft, fully crewed, for a week, on a route we plan together. Price depends on the yacht and the season.
