Qatar and Abu Dhabi 2026: the season ends in the Gulf. Our position, and yours
What Formula 1 has said. In July, F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali stated that the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix are confirmed and set a mid-September review. That review has passed, and the calendar stands: Qatar Grand Prix at Lusail on 27–29 November, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina on 3–6 December, race Sunday 6 December. In Formula 1's own words, the situation in the region is considered acceptable to proceed.
What the circuits are doing. Both promoters are in full delivery mode. Yas Marina has confirmed its After-Race Concerts line-up — Imagine Dragons on qualifying Saturday — and Lusail has opened Family Friday for the Qatar weekend. Race organisers do not book headline acts and open ticket programmes for events they expect to cancel.
What the paddock is saying. Lewis Hamilton, five times a winner at Yas Marina, has publicly backed the season finishing in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Teams are shipping freight on the standard Gulf schedule after Las Vegas.
What we do differently. We don't ask you to take that on faith. Every Obsidians booking for Qatar and Abu Dhabi carries this in writing:
Full refund of every ticket and hospitality package if F1 cancels or relocates either race — no fees, no vouchers.
Free transfer of your package to the replacement round (Imola is F1's stated fallback) at the same category, if you'd rather see the finale wherever it is held.
Flexible hotels and flights. We book only refundable rates and changeable fares for these two weekends, so your entire trip unwinds cleanly if it has to.
Deposit, not full payment. Secure your seats now with a deposit; the balance is due only after F1's final freight commitment in mid-November.
The people running the sport, the circuits and the teams are all planning for Yas Marina in December. So are we — with your money protected either way.
