The UIM XCAT World Championship 2026 brings offshore catamaran racing to the UAE: the Fujairah round on 5–6 December and the Grand Finale in Dubai on 12–13 December. Two rounds, one season
Fujairah, 5–6 December 2026. The Fujairah Grand Prix opens the decisive stretch of the season, raced off the Indian Ocean coast with the Hajar Mountains behind, on the waters of Fujairah International Marine Club.
Dubai, 12–13 December 2026. The Dubai Grand Prix is the Grand Finale, where the world champion is decided. The race runs off Dubai International Marine Club at Mina Seyahi, with Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah as the backdrop. The club has hosted XCAT rounds since 2012.
What is XCAT
XCAT is the offshore powerboat world championship sanctioned by the UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique). Twin-hull catamarans with twin outboard engines race across open water at up to 200 km/h, just metres apart. It is the most spectacular form of powerboat racing — and one of the few you can experience this close.
Race weekend programme
Saturday — Race Day 1. Morning — qualifying (pole position). 15:00 — Race 1.
Sunday — Race Day 2. Morning — qualifying (pole position). 15:00 — Race 2.
All times are local UAE time (GMT+4) and indicative; the final schedule is confirmed by the organiser.
Two VIP formats
Ultimate VIP & Offshore Experience. Two days in the VIP lounge with a dedicated viewing position for Race 1 and Race 2, premium food, drinks and lunch, access to selected VIP areas of the race weekend — and your own ride in an offshore racing catamaran. Speed, spray and adrenaline no broadcast can deliver.
Premium VIP Hospitality. The same two days of hospitality and dedicated viewing for both races — without the catamaran ride. For guests who come for the atmosphere, the table and the network.
Both packages cover Saturday and Sunday at the destination of your choice — Fujairah or Dubai. Both weekends can be booked.
Gala dinners
Fujairah, Saturday 5 December — Terrace Gala Dinner. An evening on the terrace after the first race day.
Dubai, Sunday 13 December — World Championship Awards Gala Dinner. The finale celebration: the world champion is honoured and the season's awards are presented.
Gala dinners are not included in the VIP packages and are booked separately.

Can I ride in an XCAT racing catamaran?
Yes. The offshore powerboat ride is included in the Ultimate VIP & Offshore Experience — the speed and adrenaline of the race from the inside, with a professional crew at the controls. It is not included in the Premium package.
Are the gala dinners included in the VIP packages?
No, gala dinners are booked separately: the Terrace Gala Dinner in Fujairah on Saturday 5 December and the World Championship Awards Gala Dinner in Dubai on Sunday 13 December, where the world champion is honoured.
